Founder, LPE Strategies
I'm a Washington native. My career has taken me from knocking doors in Southwest Washington on statewide campaigns to roles at the Department of Commerce to running public affairs strategies at one of the state's major lobbying firms. I have spent my career working at most levels of politics in Washington.
My work spans the state Legislature, executive agencies, county governments, and city halls. My job is the same everywhere: understand what decision-makers and communities actually need to hear and help my clients make that case.
I have extensive expertise in energy, infrastructure, clean technology, and economic development. These are sectors where the permitting, legislative, and local dynamics are layered, and where the right relationships make the difference between a project that moves and one that stalls.
I’ve helped take a statewide political campaign and launch it nationally, all the way to the presidential debate stage.
I worked at the Washington State Department of Commerce to help run the Innovation Cluster Accelerator Program (ICAP), a statewide initiative that brought together industry, government, and community partners to build Washington's economy in clean energy, aerospace, maritime, and bioscience. It was complex, multi-stakeholder work that required navigating everyone from academia, business, and state agencies to legislative relationships and local partners simultaneously. It's exactly the kind of work I do for clients today.
I’ve crafted extensive community outreach plans and staffed clients while meeting with local decision makers. I’ve drafted ordinances to enable projects to be developed in counties. I’ve shaped legislative policy to create favorable outcomes for businesses in the state.
I started LPE Strategies to ensure clients get my full attention and achieve their goals. If you need someone who can walk into a state legislative meeting and a city council hearing in the same week and know the politicians in both rooms, I am your person.

Community
Outside the office, still in the work
Public affairs is a people business. I believe in giving back to the community that shaped me into the person I am today. Here's where I put my time when I'm not at a hearing or in a meeting.
